Chapter Membership details

All memberships types are the same at the chapter level, with the exception of chapter votes & the number of gate access cards issued.

• Individual Membership allows for a single adult to become a voting member of the Dragoon Trail Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. You will also be a member of the Izaak Walton League of America State and National organizations. The Individual membership allows the member and guests to use the facility.
• Family Membership allows for two adults living in the same household to both become voting members of the Dragoon Trail Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. They will also be members of the Izaak Walton League of America State and National organizations. The Family membership allows the two named adult members and guests to use the facility.

Memberships are for a calendar year from January 1st to December 31st.

Memberships are strictly term based and not based on usage. You may use the facility at much or as little as you like during your membership term.

The rates stated below are the only rates offered. We do not offer pro-rated or discounted memberships.

We do offer a year-and-a-half membership registration starting in June (Effective July 1st) which is the only pro-rating we are able to do. This rate is only available to new members. Rates shown during checkout always supersede posted rates on this page.  

2026 Rates: (January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026)

• Individual Rate = $235
• Family Rate = $325
• Chapter Only = $175 (you must be a current member of another Izaak Walton League Chapter)

2026 Year and a half rates: (July 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027) 

• !!NEW MEMBERS ONLY!! Past members are ineligible for year and a half promotion.
• Individual Rate = $357.50
• Family Rate = $492.50

2027 Rates: (January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027)

• Individual Rate = $240
• Family Rate = $339
• Chapter Only = $180 (you must be a current member of another Izaak Walton League Chapter)

Our new membership signup process is done through our membership portal. Please click the link below to start the process.

• You will select the year, term, and type of membership you wish to purchase along with your name, address, phone-number, and date of birth.
• You will be sent an email to confirm the email you entered is valid prior to being able to pay for your membership.
• Once you have paid for your membership you will need to complete a short orientation/saftey course prior to receiving a temporary gate access code. This course is mandatory for all members and will expire after 12 months.
• A physical gate access card will be your permanent method of accessing the facility.
• Gate cards are mailed once a month on the weekend after our monthly board meeting (typically this is the second Wednesday every month). You will receive an automated email when we ship your gate access card. This card will not function without completing the orientation/safety training.
• A replacement gate access card can be ordered at any time from the membership site after signing in.
• All membership purchases are final.  The Ankeny Izaak Walton League does not issue refunds for memberships.

If you have ever been a member of the chapter you will need to log into the membership site with either your gate card number and email OR your email, date of birth and a password.

Once signed in you can proceed with the renewal process and follow the instructions on the site and in the emails sent to you.

If you no longer have your card you will need to order a new one on from the membership portal.

The status of your orientation can always be seen on from the dashboard of the membership site.

Once you have completed the orientation the system re-activates your gate card immediately and you will receive an email stating your orientation has been completed.

Gate cards are issued only once to a Member. If you have ever been a member of the Ankeny Ikes in the past you will need to order a new card.

Your member card will be reactivated any time that you renew in the future.

• Replacement cards are $5 and can be requested from the membership portal link below. 
• New cards are only mailed once per month.

  For those curious where your dues go, here is a breakdown on where you dues go (as of 12/24).

• Individual Membership - $10 = State Dues, $50 = Nationals Dues, remainder retained by the local chapter
• Family Membership - $14 = State Dues, $80 = Nationals Dues, remainder retained by the local chapter
