Chapter Membership details

All memberships types are the same at the chapter level, with the exception of chapter votes & the number of gate access cards issued.

• Individual Membership allows for a single adult to become a voting member of the Dragoon Trail Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. You will also be a member of the Izaak Walton League of America State and National organizations. The Individual membership allows the member and guests to use the facility.
• Family Membership allows for two adults living in the same household to both become voting members of the Dragoon Trail Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America. They will also be members of the Izaak Walton League of America State and National organizations. The Family membership allows the two named adult members and guests to use the facility.

Memberships are for a calendar year from January 1st to December 31st.

Memberships are strictly term based and not based on usage. You may use the facility at much or as little as you like during your membership term.

The rates stated below are the only rates offered. We are unable to pro-rate or discount memberships.

We do offer a year and a half membership starting in June which is the only pro-rating we are able to do. This rate is only available to new members.

2024 Rates: (January 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024)

• Individual Rate = $225
• Family Rate = $315
• Chapter Only = $165 (you must be a current member of another Ikes chapter)

2025 Rates: (January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025)

• Individual Rate = $230
• Family Rate = $320
• Chapter Only = $170 (you must be a current member of another Ikes chapter)

Our organization's Liability Waiver is now online, clicking the link below will take you to it. Once complete you will be forwarded on to complete your membership.

IF you have EVER been a member of the Ankeny Ikes in the past (any prior year, even if your membership has lapsed) please use the Renewing Member sign-up below. 

If you no longer have your gate access card you will need to order a new one with our replacement card process.

• Processing of new memberships is done only once every couple weeks. You will receive an email when your membership has been processed with a temporary gate code to access the facility.
• Gate cards are mailed once a month on the weekend after our monthly board meeting (typically this is the second Wednesday every month). You will receive an automated email when we ship your gate access card. 
• You will also receive an email with an orientation and safety training link that MUST be completed prior to your card working. Please reach out to us if you do not receive your card within a week of this notice. Please check your spam and/or other folder if you have not seen this message.

You will need your gate card handy and will need to know the email address we have on file for you. 

Before your card is activated you may need to complete the members orientation. If your prior orientation is expired it will state so during renewal and you will receive a unique link to a member orientation program that must be completed prior to your gate card being re-activated for the new membership term. If you do not receive this message make sure and check your spam folder.

If you no longer have your card you will need to order a new one with our replacement card process.

Once you have completed the orientation the system re-activates your gate card immediately and you will receive an email stating your orientation has been completed.

Gate cards are issued only once to a Member. If you have ever been a member of the Ankeny Ikes in the past you will need to order a new card. If you sign up as a new member and you have been a member in the past a new card will not be issued.  

Your member card will be reactivated any time that you renew in the future.

• Replacement cards are $5 and can be requested below. 
• New cards are only mailed once per month.

  For those curious where your dues go, here is a breakdown on where you dues go (as of 12/24).

• Individual Membership - $230 - $10 = State Dues, $50 = Nationals Dues, $170 = Retained by the local chapter
• Family Membership - $320 - $14 = State Dues, $80 = Nationals Dues, $226 = Retained by the local chapter
