Shooting Sports at the ikes

We’re always trying to provide quality space and equipment for you to enjoy and improve your shooting skills in a safe and controlled environment.  

For the several years the Ikes have invested in several portable clay target throwers for use in our 5-Stand events.  This fairly new addition to our club has generated much interest among shotgun shooters, and has added a new challenge for beginner, novices, and experts alike.

5- Stand is a type of shotgun sport shooting similar to sporting clays, trap and skeet. There are five stations, (stands) and eight strategically placed clay target throwers.  Shooters shoot in turn at various combinations of clay birds thrown at different angles, speeds, heights, and distances.  Some are single targets, some are report pairs (a single target followed by another target that is launched as soon as the first target is shot), and some are true pairs (two targets launched at the same time).   In addition to standard clay targets, we have rabbits, battues, and midis that give us a full spectrum of targets to shoot.   In addition to challenging and improving your shooting skills, the comradery of conversing and participating with fellow shooters in a great sporting activity is another benefit our organization.  Cost per round is $6.00 for members, and $9.00 for nonmembers.
